Hi Joe,

I know -- pretty amazing isn't it? But, perhaps you've forgotten that it's
not only just Christians who don't hate God, it's really only Christians of
a particular flavor who don't hate God, at least in the World According to
the Kirk :-))) I think perhaps it was before you time here in the Viz that
Mike Lawyer, Doug Wilson's "assistant," posted the following about those of
us -- Christian & otherwise -- who disagree with Wilson's particular flavor
of Christianity:
"Those that don't love him, because he is God and that requires something,
rebel against him and do everything they can to thwart his work in the
world. They are incapable of understanding the things he says for two
reasons: first he blinds their eyes and closes their ears. And second
because they blind their own eyes and stop up their own ears. . . There
might be someone on this list who can see this and realizes that they are in
the same boat with the rest of you, but wants out. As I mentioned, the Bible
tells us that the reason for this blindness is rebellion against the
almighty God. Therefore the way to have your eyes opened is to ask the one
who has blinded you to open your eyes and to turn you from darkness to
light."

Yeah, it's only those who swallow Wilson's particular flavor of Christianity
who can love God and receive God's grace . . . riiiiightttt. Sometimes
folks get confused about who the Real Intoleristas are, but these examples
help cut through the Kirk double-talk, don't you think?

You also wrote:
"Hey, Glen Schwaller: Were you serious when you said that "Being insulting

shouting people down is just bad manners, and most people I would hope
would realize that and abstain"? Is the reason you say nothing Doug's
manners that it is part of the "It's OK if I do it, but you better not"
philosophy
that you promote?"

Oh, Joe, Joe, Joe -- that was Schwaller #1 (or #2, or maybe #3 or . . . )
who wrote that, you big silly! Certainly you don't expect consistency
amongst the various Schwallers, do you? I don't think
consistency-as-we-know-it is possible when those posting as Schwaller
inhabit completely separate bodies . . .

Doug,

You quote this passage:

"In fact, it is this very freedom that non-Christians fear,
for it replaces the messianic State, which they trust,
with the sovereign God, whom they hate."

Twice, in fact, you quote this passage in SUPPORT of your views.
The line says that all non-Christians hate God, for crap's sake!!!
This line is quoted TWICE in an effort to explain your worldview.

Hey, Glen Schwaller: Were you serious when you said that "Being insulting or
shouting people down is just bad manners, and most people I would hope
would realize that and abstain"? Is the reason you say nothing Doug's
manners that it is part of the "It's OK if I do it, but you better not"
philosophy
that you promote?

What Andreas passes over in all of Greg's writings, in search of the
dredded "kill all the queers" quote he tends to point out, is this
little gem:

"So it is important to realize that a civil

government based on biblical law would

not be the oppressive system feared by

non-Christians. Of course, there would be

laws enforced against certain crimes which

are currently ignored, such as homosexuality.

However, there would be much more freedom

than exists at present. A man could work at

whatever job he pleased, he could do whatever he

wanted with his property, and he would be assured

of protection against the assaults of others. There

would be no bureaucracies trying to build a perfect

society by regulating all of creation. In fact, it is this

very freedom that non-Christians fear, for it replaces the

messianic State, which they trust, with the sovereign

God, whom they hate."

Did you happen to hear that? Re-read the last line:

" In fact, it is this very freedom that non-Christians fear,

for it replaces the messianic State, which they trust,

with the sovereign God, whom they hate."

That just about sums up what God haters like Andreas and Nick really
fear.

It's the freedom.

Doug!
