Dear Roger,
I invite you return with me to New Jersey this
Thanksgiving, for my 30th high school reunion.
I’ll introduce you to Raymond Harrison, a friend of
mine who was an all-American defensive tackle at Seton
Hall and currently works on a SWAT team.
After I explain to him Wilson’s thesis that slavery
wasn’t soooooo bad, you could talk about the difference
between the biblical justification of slavery and the
actual holding of slaves (be aware that Ray, like most
African-Americans, is a Christian).
If we both get out of there alive, I will buy you a car.
Best, Joe

There is a difference between saying that it is bibiblically justified and saying that they recommend it in today's society.
My understanding is that they think it is a sin but also say hate the sin, love the sinner.
Roger

A group that is sponsored by a government enity, meets on government property, and is supported by taxpayers should be open to anyone who wants to attend, so long as they are not disruptive. Just being present is not disruptive. They obviously can not vote on any issue unless they are members. They can speak if recognized by the chair.
