Re: Ride Idaho
The City of Moscow welcomes Ride Idaho on their third annual multi-day
cycling event throughout north-central Idaho arriving in Moscow on
August 9, 2007. Additional information regarding Ride Idaho is located
on their website at http://www.rideidaho.org/default.asp. This event
is organized and administered by the Treasure Valley YMCA.
Ride Idaho is not competitive or race-oriented, but an opportunity for
participants to showcase our state by offering diverse, scenic, and fun
routes each year. The mission of Ride Idaho is to explore new
landscapes while learning about Idaho's heritage and history. The
educational features presented by the host communities allow
participants to become familiar with the lesser known but interesting
and important facts and lore of our state.
The participants will not only have the opportunities to make new
friends with similar recreational interests through their passion for
cycling, but also experience the warm hospitality of the unique and
varied communities they visit. The seven-day ride will follow routes
that will take the participants through and into many smaller
communities for water and snack breaks and planned lunch stops as well
as overnight stays.
Day 1 of the tour begins Sunday August 5th in Coeur d'Alene; Day 2 - St.
Maries, Day 3 - Deary, Day 4 - Lewiston/Hells Gate State Park, Day 5 -
