How often does everyone flush their hot water tanks? The first time I
drained mine, my heart about stopped! The water coming from the hose was
filled with sediment, and disgusting looking "things". Draining your hot
water tank will extend the life of the tank, as well as the heating
elements. Also, NEVER use hot water to cook with, or drink. Why? Take a
peek at the water coming from the hose when you drain the tank. THAT stuff
is in the tank!!!
If you do drain your tank, make sure to follow the directions for your
brand.
