[Vision2020] Mt. View and Third Street UPDATE

UPDATE:
The property (pipes, equipment, etc.) that have been killing time (and
grass) on Mt. View and Third was not only moved over the past couple of
days, but was in fact, REPOSSESSED, so I hear. Well, well, well.....
Let's see...time by the City Staff was spent getting the re-zone and permits
put together, time was spent by the Utilities attempting to have meetings
with a certain "developer" that he never showed up for, time was spent by
the neighbors worrying over the flood issue and nuisance of combating the
development of 77 homes as well as the push for a bridge on Third that NEVER
should have been considered, time was spent by the City Council and
Committees during the public hearings over this "project that isn't", time
was spent by the financiers and other "interested" parties trying to get
this project off the ground....hmmmm. Seems like a lot of time was WASTED
for a project that simply was not really seriously going to happen, now was
it? Our tax dollars at work, folks.
There is another project that is still on the table with this particular
"developer that isn't"...wonder what the chances of THAT one going anywhere,
is?
Mayhap THAT is the true story here.
Of course, there is still the office on Main Street that could be used
for....well, heck - at least it's there in CASE it's ever needed.
