I am just fine with that wording for the pledge. I think that is a great idea. As for praying in class, yes, I believe that students should be given a moment at the start of each day, and several times during it, if necessary, to pray. I don't think the prayer itself should be instructed by the teacher, just the time and place. However, I am willing to bet some atheists of children in school will challenge this wording and any rights of religious students to have an opportunity to pray during the course of the school day, because it in someway infringes on their rights.
