Hi Kathy,

Don't you sense a certain amount of irony in that the Idaho Press Club has
been fighting for legislative access and open meetings for several years and
yet you turn around and exclude a legitimate 3rd party candidate from your
gathering?

I have been the founding publisher of two weekly newspapers and
this type of close-mindedness has never been a part of the 4th estate with
which I am familiar. It's a sad day when one of the most respected
publishing organizations in Idaho is party to partisian politics and is
unwilling to open your proceedings to me.

As of last week over 60% of Idaho voters are undecided about this race. I ask you again, how can this be a good decision for your organization and for the citizens of Idaho?

I expect to prevail in this contest in spite of your decision.

Sincerely,

Andy Hedden-Nicely
Candidate U.S. Congress
Idaho First Congressional District

Andy:

The debate will be held at the telecommunications room of the library on the
Lewis-Clark State College campus at 6:30 to 7:58 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21.
I will not provide you the names of the committee members who offered their
opinions. I received about 9 responses and the majority said we should stick
to our original plan. There were other opinions. I am the one who made the
decision.

Regards,
Kathy Hedberg.
