A world premiere is the highlight of the Washington Idaho Symphony concert
this weekend: WSU Professor Gregory Yasinitsky has written a Concerto for
Flute and Orchestra, for his wife, Ann, the principal flutist for the
orchestra. This smashing piece is programmed with Beethoven’s Symphony No.
4 and Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story -- a program that
could not be more stunning!

Gladish Auditorium, Pullman, on Saturday, November 4, at 8:00 and Sunday,
November 5, at 3:00 in the High School Auditorium, Lewiston. The bargain
season tickets are still available at the door, as are single tickets.

The annual sale of variegated holly for the upcoming holidays will commence
this weekend at the concerts. Order forms for this beautiful holly, a
fundraiser for The Palouse League of the Symphony, will be available, or, to
order by phone, please call Nancy Lyle (882-7025). The holly will be
available at the December 9-10 concerts.
