[Vision2020] The death penalty....a deterent!!!!!

Dear Tony,

Sorry my dear friend but you are mistaken. There are in fact a multitude of justifications for particular abortions: the mother's life is in danger, the child is destined to have a short life yet suffer a great deal, etc.

Are you suggesting that the decision to take a human life in the context of a war or capital punishment is somehow less difficult, morally speaking, to make than a similar decision about the taking a human life in the context of an abortion? If so, I'm missing the argument. There are difficulties all across the board.

The legal/political question is clear in each case: Who is to decide, you or the State?
