Same Sex Marriage Debate ReleaseT-
First, I am glad that you agree that homosexuality is "natural" in the sense of God-given or innate (not learned or taught).
However, your comparison of homosexuality and pedophilia is a comparison of apples and oranges. Pedophilia is a learned perverse behavior, accepted as a mental disease--not an innate sexuality.
Since homosexuality is an innate God-given attribute, why punish homosexuals by refusing them the legal right to marry?

Bill, you make the very discerning observation that homosexuality is natural in that these folks were born that way. Quite true, that is why I prefer the term inappropriate to best describe them. Pedophilia is also natural by your definition - as is bestiality. But surely you are not advocating the public sanction of these activities as well? Our respective genetalia, male and female, were obviously designed to interact for the purposes of procreation. That there are occasional mix ups in our development in the womb, does not mean that we should nurture and cater to these misdevelopements. Some characteristic can be quite "natural" yet entirely to be opposed and possibly remedied. If I were born with a faulty heart valve, would you argue that I should embrace my present condition or seek to address it so that my body might function as it was intended?

  Have a good Sunday, -T

    T-
take off your blinders and you will note that homosexuality is quite natural. Homosexuals are inherently, at the core of their being, homosexual. They were wired that way, just as others were wired as heterosexual.

I just think, given the obvious complex nature of brains and bodies and identities, that human sexuality is a continuum from absolutely hetero to absolutely homosexual. It's all natural. And it's only fair that we allow the law to recognize marriage between loving couples.

Bill, why would anyone bother attending a debate on such a completely unnatural and patently inappropriate concept as "gay marriage"? There is, and never will be, any such thing. Marriage was and always will be between a male and female for the purposes of providing a stable environment for the raising of offspring. Must we continue to patronize these maladjusted freaks who would pervert society to reflect their own warped perspectives?
