 There is a disagreement as to what was said at the Poverty forum that was held at the Commons on 4/25/06. I asked Dave Tong at the Audio-visual center if it was recorded. He said that they only record what some  department asks them to. This unfortunately was not recorded. I do not like having things left up in the air and I wanted it nailed down even if I was wrong. 
I am a strong advocate of open government and easy access to government records. I submitted legislation last year to require that all government meeting (committees etc} be recorded. At this point I would include  all forums held at or sponsored by government institutions, including universities.
