Mayor Chaney:

Since you know that tonight's city council meeting will involve
greater than usual resident participation, why not make preparations
for a larger venue that could accommodate everyone, council and all
participants? Shifting a large part of the community to an overflow
seating area without the benefit of active participation does not
seem to be a judicious move on the part of the council. There are
many voices that wish to be heard on these issues but they won't be
if the plan listed below is put into effect.

Thanks for your consideration.

Re: CLC Rezone Hearing Meeting Accommodations
It has come to the City's attention that it was erroneously reported
within the April 29th edition of the Moscow-Pullman Dailey News that
the 7:00 p.m. May 1st CLC rezone hearing before the City Council had
been moved to the Great Room of the 1912 Center. The correct
location of the meeting is the City Council Chambers of City Hall,
located at 206 E. Third Street as the City advertised within the
official public notice for the hearing.
However, in light of the anticipated interest in the CLC rezone
application scheduled for public hearing before the City Council on
Monday, May 1st, at 7:00 p.m., the City of Moscow has reserved the
1912 Center Great Room for overflow seating for those who are
interested in watching the meeting but who may not have access to the
City's cable channel 13. The 1912 Center will open at 6:30 p.m. and
the televised meeting will be projected upon a large screen and
seating will be provided. The accommodations at the 1912 Center will
only provide an opportunity to watch the meeting, and there will be
no opportunity to testify before the City Council from the 1912 Center.
