Well Wayne, It looks to me, judging by the punctuation and syntax that I used, (and you conveniently left out) that I was merely asking a question myself. However after reading your subtle interpretation of the sub-text of Mr. Simpson's post I'll leave it up to the readership to decide which of us can conjure harsh opinions.

Gary,
Since I offered no opinion on the quote below, but merely asked a question, I assume that your true, deeply hidden belief is that:
"people who support a Super Wal-Mart are ignorant rubes who's lack of taste makes them infinitely inferior to someone as exalted and refined as yourself"
Thank you for the honesty in demonstrating, albeit indirectly, your true beliefs about potential SWM customers. I am not nearly so harsh in my opinions.
W.

So is the sub-text here, people who support a Super Wal-Mart are ignorant rubes who's lack of taste makes them infinitely inferior to someone as exalted and refined as yourself?

Does the following quote have some relevance here?
Nobody ever lost a buck underestimating the taste of the American public.
[Attributed to both P. T. Barnum & H. L. Mencken.
