I like Jesus, from what I know of him. Much of the Sermon on the
Mount is beautiful. I wish that Christianity spent more time
concentrating on his moral teachings and less on the superstition.
There is a slim little volume called "What Jesus Meant" that I think
gets it almost right. The Jesus Seminar seems also to focus primarily
on Jesus' ethical teachings, though I don't know how well they are
received by mainstream Christianity.
