[Vision2020] Biblical justice

Doug Wilson (as quoted by R.C. Sproul, Jr.)
"I would urge that the civil penalties applied
would be measured and limited. I have a good hope that
Steven has genuinely repented, and that he will
continue to deal with this to become a productive and
contributing member of society."

R.C. Sproul, Jr.
What kind of humanistic claptrap is this, Doug? Who
really cares if Sitler ever does "become a productive
and contributing member of society" through what you
have termed "secular therapy"? Show us where you got
that vernacular from. Is it biblical? Freudianism?
Skinnerism?

Oh, and let's not forget that you've equated Sitler's
crimes to a mere violation of the 7th Commandment!
Molesting 2-12 year old children is adultery? Are you
really that stupid Doug, or are you obstructing
justice by your perverse interpretation of Scripture?
Molesting children isn't adultery, it's rape, and as
you well know serial rapists warrant something a whole
lot more onerous than a one year slap on the wrist in
the Latah County Jail (commonly referred to as the
"Latah Hilton"), say like the death penalty. You have
in no way aided in the process of obtaining justice --
particularly biblical justice. All you've done is
derail and pervert justice.

So Mr. Sproul doesn't believe in "humanistic claptrap" or situation
ethics like "Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to
you", let me point out what God wants us to do.

As I quoted earlier, God demands that a rapist be forced to marry his
victim and shall never be permitted to divorce her as long as he
lives (Deut. 22:28-29; Exodus 22:15-16)). The reason the rapist must
marry his victim is because she is now "damaged goods" and no one
else would want to marry her. Doug earlier asked me about the age of
consent in the Bible. As far as I can find, no such idea is
mentioned. Since the Bible says children are the property of their
fathers, the consent would seem to come from the fathers, not the
daughters. See also Numbers 31:1-41 for instructions on how to treat
young boys and girls.

Sproul also seems to be a fan of the uncivilized practice of capital
punishment. Here too, God instructs us. Sassy boys must be stoned by
the elders of the city (Deut. 21:18-21). Boys or girls who strike
their parents must be put to death (Exodus 21:15). And so on, ad
nauseam.
