When I was  a kid,we through them in the branding fire. When the popped we raked the out, brushed of the dirt (etc) and ate them. They are not to great that way, Taken to the house and deep fried they are pretty good. The Cattlemen's club in Tucson is called the MO Club. Rocky Mountain oysters are thier specially.
