Visionists,
The folks at the Moscow Water Dept. deserve a big thanks for their quick and effective handling of what could have been a major problem late last week.

Apparently a construction site snafu led to a water line being cut and potential contamination of water to a few neighborhoods last Friday---mine being one of them.

The Water Dept. crews immediately went around to all the possibly affected areas and let everyone know. They put doorhangers on the front doors explaining the possible problem along with a gallon jug of Idaho Ice Spring Water. Distributing the jugs of water was an excellent idea. Sometimes door hangers can be overlooked, misplaced by kids, etc. The jug of water along with the warning was not only practical---providing some pure water for immediate use---but provided better notice of the possible problem.
The Department tested the water and then, on Monday, distributed another "all clear" notice in the neighborhoods that might have been affected.

Thankfully there was no problem, but if there had been, the rapid response of the Water crews might have saved some water customers from becoming ill or worse.
There's quite a bit of water line maintenance that has to be done in my neighborhood and we've always been impressed with the friendly and professional folks that do the work. This latest effort just highlighted the good job they do.
