My crane was built in 1929 so there are no
hydraulics or electronics to get fried. In fact,
aside from the magneto coil and spark plug on the
rope start pony motor, there aren't even any
electrical circuits of any kind. Hardly any
ball-bearings either as most of the bearings are
poured babbit metal. It's taken hits before and
will likely take more than few more in its life.
I guess that's something to be said for
Industrial Revolution age machinery.
