The upcoming weekend has a wonderful treat in store for you – Washington
Idaho Symphony’s annual young artists’ concert, a celebration of local
talent. On February 4-5 the orchestra will be joined by four young area
artists, and if you’ve never taken advantage of this particular concert in
the orchestra’s season, this year should wow you.

The following are the young artists who will perform both Saturday night at
Gladish Auditorium, Pullman, at 8:00 and then on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at
Lewiston’s High School.

Jasmine Nagano will play the Piano Concerto in A minor, Movement 1 by
Schumann; Jasmine is a high school student from Spokane.

Adam Lau, baritone, will sing "Non piu andrai" and "Aprite un po quegl'
occhi" from The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart; Adam is from Whitman College.

Marissa Jones will perform the Piano Concerto in A minor, Movement 1, by
Grieg; Marissa is a student of Gerald Berthiaume, Washington State
University.

Chad Spears, a student of Jay Mauchley, University of Idaho, will play the
Piano Concerto #3 in C Major, Movement 1, by Prokofiev.

The concert will open – without its young assistants -- with the orchestra
performing the Barber of Seville Overture by Rossini, and just after
intermission, the

Second Essay for Orchestra by Barber.

Students with ID are always admitted to our concerts for $6.00; regular
admission is $15, and one child is admitted free with each adult ticket
purchased.

This is always an inspiring concert. Treat yourself! And bring a guest.
Performers have this love affair with great big, appreciative audiences!
