I think Christians would more accurately use the term "bore false witness" rather than "misspoke."  

However, whenever anyone has such problems and severe insecurities about themselves that they have to resort to an extreme, ridicule provoking comb-over, perhaps obvious lies should be mercifully excused on medical/psychiatric grounds.
