To avoid the problems that occur when web-sites take control of your browser such as locking you into one site or resizing your window, etc:

Use FireFox 1.5 (free) with the NoScript extension (free). This allows you to decide which sites to allow to run JavaScript scripts. In addition, FireFox does not permit the use of Active-X controls, another source of mischief.

FireFox 1.5 available for download at www.getfirefox.com

Once FireFox is loaded go to
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=722&application=firefox
to download the NoScript extension.

"Once you click on a site, you will get lost in there, as mostof them have ADDITIONAL links!"-Janesta CarcichAin't that something? You go to one website, and there is a link,so you follow that link. There you find 20 more links! Soyou click on one of them, and there is link to somethingnot any what related to what you trying to find, but hell, itwas just a click a way and it looked interesting. And once youget to that other interesting site, you find 50 more links. Then you look up at the clock and see that you have been on-linefor one hour and have to go back 25 sites to get to what yougot on-line for the first place. So now you have 17 windows open and all of a sudden, rudely a new window pops up and says you are low on memory. because you have too many windows open.So sow you have to bookmark all the pages because you need to getback to them, but you cannot because your computer fre!
 ezes up
and you have torestart it. They really need to limit the number of links to a minimum. it is an ADD nightmare. -DJA

    Greetings!

I found this fabulous site on a variety of interesting
webcams. Most of them are G-rated, there are a few
that parents would want to take a look at first-The
Jail Cam, The Bullring, and The Tropical Isle & Funky
Pirate.... I posted a sampling of the sites... How
boring is looking at the Anchorage DMV??? Personally,
I find the ones with views of the public intrusive,
but it appears that is the world we live in now.
Anyway, there is something for everyone here. Once you
click on a site, you will get lost in there, as most
of them have ADDITIONAL links! This site is really
    educat! ional and fun.

Selected from hundreds of nominees by a panel of

    Anchorage DMV
    Anchorage, AK

For the first time a webcam perfectly captures the
ennui, boredom and tedium we've all experienced
waiting in line at a local department of motor
vehicles. Now you can experience it all over again as
    a vicarious spectator.

    Pyramid cam
    Egypt

This website features the most breathtaking images of
the timeless Great Pyramids of Egypt, one of the seven
wonders of the world. Dramatic time-lapse movies are
combined with stunning images showing the interplay of
clouds, sky and sunlight during all hours of the day
    and night.

    Wildlife Webcams Around the World
    Worldwide

This website features a collection of stunning live
webcams from around the world with time-lapse replays, fast refresh, message boards, animal guides and image
highlights. It is one of the most comprehensive
    educational wildlife websites available.

    Have fun!
