[Vision2020] The Trouble With Doug

"And you base this on what, Pat? Doug Wilson wouldn't be Doug Wilson if
he didn't thumb his nose at the law; if he didn't believe that he was
above trivialities like paying property taxes or obeying zoning laws.
What you're saying is akin to "We wouldn't be prosecuting Kenneth Lay
if he weren't Kenneth Lay. If he were Frito Lay, we'd all love him."
The only answer to this is, well, yes! Everyone love Frito Lay, and
Sara Lee, and Little Debbie. But no one loves an arrogant lawbreaker
who demands special treatment.

One other thing: where do you get the idea that if it weren't for Doug
Wilson and New St. Andrews, the old Verizon building would be vacant
and derelict? There were two other bidders for that property, and I
understand that interest has been expressed in the building since.
Many, many potential retail clients would love to occupy the Skattaboe.
Or, as I've suggested before, Doug could turn the building into a
downtown cathedral, thus holding onto his property and occupying it
legally, zoning-wise. But he doesn't want to do that. He wants to lie
on the rug down at city hall and pound the carpet like a two-year old
whose mother won't give him the Gummi worms. I'm tired of his yelling,
and I'm sick of his whining; I'm ready to send him to military school.
Perhaps somewhere in Vermont. Is that far enough away? I wonder . . .

PS: If George W. Bush weren't George W. Bush, I might like him, too."

This country boy is also getting sick of someone's "yelling" and "whining".
And it ain't Pastor Doug's.
