Pat,

I thought they were the one of the first civilizations in the world.  Did I 
get that wrong?

If you're going to make arguments based on morality, then you are guilty of 
laziness if you try to blame things on the Cold War.  Or were lies ok in the 
Cold War?  Did that make Hussein's crimes ok because of the Cold War?

Again, were you losing sleep and calling for war against Iraq in the 80s?
