Nice try ACS,

The Bible is full of admonishment from God regarding homosexuality and sodomy. I'm not sure which Bible Auntie Establishment or you are reading. From the vague story of Noah and Ham (ending in Ham's descendants being eternally punished--), to the numerous abominations from God (Old and New Testaments) towards homosexuality and sodomites; it should be noted, many of these scriptural references condemns homosexuals to death. How much clearer could it be? Even if David and Jonathan did have a brief sexual encounter (which is debatable), the act is condemned by God scores of times in the scriptures...

  I am continually amazed and disgusted by people who continue to draw a
  single moral lesson from a story where:

  (1) The inhabitants of the city rape travellers.

  (2) The inhabitants of the city rape angels.

  (3) The hero of the story gives up his daughter to be raped.

  (4) God almost spares the entire city anyway.

  There are lessons contained within the story about rape, desecration
  of the holy, and responsibility to strangers. Homosexuality only comes
  in if you assume that the 'he' of the angels is a literal 'he' --
  something which may be entirely unwarranted.
