Happy Monday Visionaries:

The April 4 Hot Sheet has been posted to the Sheriff's Office web site at
http://www.latah.id.us/Dept/Sheriff_HotSheets.htm. You might also note that
on the main page for the Sheriff's Office there is a new link to ask
questions or make comments about our services (even if you don't fill out a
survey, etc.). You might also use that link if you have any questions
regarding laws or anything else law enforcement related. If you encounter
any problems with these, let me know.

Oh, yes, a note about the Hot Sheet: I listed three of our "Most Wanted" on
this last Hot Sheet. Although I do not see this being a weekly feature,
like the driver's license stats, I would be willing to feature most waned
folks once a month. I've had a few requests about doing a "Latah's Dumbest
Criminals" sort of item, and after a lot of deliberation, I've decided not
to. The Hot Sheets are public and if someone else wants to take that
information and compile it and make choices about which incidents constitute
"dumbness," by all means, go ahead, but I'm reluctant to make that judgment
(there but for the grace of God go I--although my foibles generally are
self-destructive rather than criminal. NOTE TO READERS: learn the
difference between a teaspoon (little t in recipes) and a tablespoon (big T
in recipes)). Besides, I'd rather not add (more) insult to the injury of
having one featured by me in one of these publications . . .

The Latah Star: I've heard little feedback about the newsletter, which I
assume means that it is so near perfection that I need not consider any
changes for the future--just kidding. I am open to suggestions, comments,
guest writers/photographers, and anything else you want to lob my way
(except rotting foods or edged weapons).

Anything else? Hmm, oh yes--I vaguely recall that French horses were
particularly bad candidates to donate bow hair (re: Carl's post this
morning), but I was in the shower at the time of the broadcast and I'm not
sure if my hearing was accurate. If this is true, it is too bad considering
how much French horses sacrifice to the edification of humans in France,
anyway (having seen them on the menu while I was in France). I digress . .
. Have a good day and let me know if you have any law enforcement concerns.
