There was much more suckiness than just bases loaded no outs and not scoring, although that was a big one. How about getting thrown out at 2nd base for the second out of the inning while Ichiro is on 3rd and Sexson is coming to the plate? His subsequent fly out to deep center would have easily plated a run inteaded of stranding it. Or how about walking the leadoff Angles batter in the 9th inning which is exactly how big innings start? Both of the hitters that were walked in the 9th came around to score which was the difference in the ballgame.

I still would rather be at Safeco than at work.

to report that the Seattle Mariners still suck. Bases loaded, no outs, and
they can't bring in any runs. But it was great fun, and again, thank you,
Scott Dredge, for the tickets and the round-trip flight. Although you could
have arranged for a somewhat smoother flight back to Spokane last night. I
felt like William Shatner in Twilight Zone, expecting to see a little

I think my hands have finally unclenched.
