Moscow does not have a traffic problem. It just needs
to ticket assholes that do not pause for pedestrians.
It takes a whopping 8 minutes to drive from one corner
of town to the other, 10 minutes in ice and bad
traffic.
Do not try to turn left onto Main Street from 3rd. And
do not try to turn left from Adams onto 6th. People
need to plan their trips better. During busy times of
the day, plan your trip so that you approach the place
you plan to park at so that it is on your right side,
ie, drive around the block or park and walk across the
street if it is on the left side. It is bad drivers
that try to make unprotected left turns across solid
lines of traffic that screw the rest of us up and
block traffic.
There is nothing wrong with the design, it is the
people that mess it up. Just like this stupid 3rd
street bridge, does it really take that long to drive
another block over and down 6 th or A st? No, it saves
them about 15 seconds of driving--hardly worth
building a road and spending taxpayer dollars over.
I only have two traffic concerns, children crossing
Mt. View, and college students crossing the
Moscow-Pullman Highway.
