Sorry for the typo :-( The sentence should read:
"These features are important since transportation can be a significant
challenge for the developmentally disabled."

That's a good point, Pat, but the folks I've talked with who hope to live in
Independence Hill are *thrilled* about the location due to its proximity to
grocery shopping, other shopping, restaurants, and the movie theater. These
features are important transportation can be a significant challenge for the
developmentally disabled. For the population this project will serve, it
seems the independence the location offers is far more important than any
dust or dirt.

collaborative project, check out:

Ah, Yes but it is in an area where not everyone will want to live. They are
not moving the sawdust operation so these homes are going to be dusty/dirty.

I have been informed by Deputy McFarland that this is housing being built by
HUD for the disabled.

Is that cool or is that cool?

It is refreshing to know that, in spite of our political differences,
Moscow's "powers that be", in conjunction with HUD, made this happen.

It is my understanding that this is low income housing. i'm not sure who
owns them. The area above them is being built by a local contractor.

Greetings Visionaires -

Over the past several months what appears to be housing has been slowly
developing just northeast of the Palouse Mall.

Can anybody, in the "know", wise me up to what's going on? I figure that it
is either married student housing or some serious basic tract housing.

Take a look for yourselves at:
