Greetings Visionaires -

>From yesterday's (November 19, 2005) Moscow-Pullman Daily News with special
appreciation going to Councilperson Aaron Ament.

-------------------------------------------

Thanks for the vote, now the work begins

Thank you Moscow for your support during the campaign and especially for
your support on Election Day. I learned during the campaign that good ideas
do not solely originate in our governing bodies. They flow from the minds
and experience of the governed and use government as a conduit for their
enactment.
While campaigning, I told many of you that a vote for me was a vote for the
involvement of all in Moscow who are willing to participate.

I support a strong citizen form of government and look forward to working
with you to keep Moscow strong and vital.

I would like to thank my wife Cindylou for her support of my decision to run
for City Council. If my future choices are as good as my choice of my life
partner, then Moscow will be well served.

Thank you to all who wore buttons, put signs in your yards, talked to your
neighbors, and contributed emotionally and financially to the campaign. I
cannot thank everyone by name. The 300-word limit will not allow that.

There is a special six who do need to be personally thanked for working
whenever I asked and always with more grace and perseverance than I could
have asked. My thanks (alphabetically) to Mike Curley, Karri Fedale, Tom
Hansen, Tom Ivie, Chris Norden and Frank Pelfrey.

To the organizers of the many forums, I thank you for giving Moscow the
opportunity to make an informed choice.

To my honorable opponent Walter Steed, I say thank you for joining me in
making this a contest of ideas.

It is now time for all of us to join together in the work at hand. That work
is the preservation of our home, Moscow.

Aaron C. Ament, Moscow

-------------------------------------------

Suddenly the peoples' voice seems a little louder on our city council.

As Fleetwood Mac once said:

"It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.
Why not think about times to come,
And not about the things that you've done . . .

Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don't stop, it'll soon be here."

Take care, Moscow.
