Kai,

Robertson Davies, who is considered on of Canada's greatest novelists, had a 
character in one of his novels who could tell a lot about a person from an 
analysis of their stools.  His analyses were backed (in fiction) by certain 
real scientific findings.  The theories of the LMT face reader appear of 
somewhat lesser epistemological value.

For literature fans, the novels of Robertson Davies are fascinating, 
sometimes very serious but sometimes greatly humorous writings.
