[Vision2020] Joan Rants

Mr. Nisbet -

Vision 2020 IS an open forum for debate concerning a wide range of issues
that effect our community.  

At one time the debates on V2020 were heated, lively, and informative.
Questions were asked and answered from both sides of the virtual aisle.  In
November of 2003, the primary topic of discussion was the upcoming
Wilson/Wilkins "History" Conference that was scheduled for, and took place
in, February 2004.  Doug Wilson and his "group" withdrew from posting to
V2020 and crawled under their respective rocks, only to be heard once in a
while when they crawled out to sling muck at various V2020 contributors.

My goodness Joan, I had not realized that Moscow 2020 was a private list 
server only for you and a few freinds to use for therapy sessions.  Here I 
thought that its purpose was as designated in its mission statement;

"Moscow Vision 2020 is an informal, multi-partisan group of Moscow residents

formed in 1993 to encourage more public information and debate about the 
future of Moscow and Latah County. We do make a difference!!! Join us in 
helping to participate in the future of our community."

That mission statement suggests that this list is multi-partisan and not 
restricted to people Joan likes and agrees with.

I find it interesting that you clearly think that ad hominem attacks and 
continueing falsehoods serve some higher purpose and should pass for debate 
within this, our community.  That hardly passes for anything that could be 
considered tolerant, fair or liberal.
