An analysis of Doug Wilson’s views of those he labels “Intoloristas” has to
account for why those supposedly intolerant people are able to get along so
well with all the other conservative Bible believing Christian types that
live in the greater Moscow area.

Most people at Trinity Baptist, Church of the Nazarene, Mountain View Bible,
Evangelical Free Church, Emanuel Baptist, Living Faith Fellowship, Christian
Life Center, The Rock Church, and many other local churches share several
things in common with Doug Wilson:

1. They believe and teach that the Bible is God’s Word and that it is all
true.
2. They believe and teach that homosexuality is sin against God.
3. They believe and teach that all people everywhere are obligated to
worship and obey God.
4. They believe and teach that the God of the Bible is the one true God.
5. They believe and teach that Christianity is the one true religion.

They all hold and teach very conservative views—views that most
“Intoloristas” may diverge from—and yet, they live in harmonious
disagreement with their liberal neighbors.

So this is puzzling.

Doug Wilson fails to account for why the “Intoloristas” get on so well with
people from these churches.

Are the “Intoloristas” guilty of being inconsistent in their treatment of
similarly situated individuals?

Or is there something about Doug Wilson that makes him different from other
conservative Christians?
