The Association of Idaho Cities is proud to offer the Youth
Leadership Conference in conjunction with its Annual Conference
in Idaho Falls. The youth program will empower youth to become
competent and confident leaders in your community.  

There will be plenty of exciting activities. During the 
conference, youth delegates will:  
a.. Improve their leadership abilities;
b.. Learn to accurately identify, understand and respect the
feelings of others; 
c.. Develop skills to identify and solve
problems and ethical dilemmas; 
d.. Learn how to work as a team;
e.. Develop effective "critical-thinking" methods;
f.. Create a positive mental attitude; 
g.. Realize the importance of responsibility and accountability; 
h.. Recognize the importance of school and community service; 
i.. Develop goal-setting skills; and 
j.. Meet and work with city officials from their communities.


There will be topics of interest for all youth delegates and AIC 
Annual Conference Delegates : a variety of policy and 
legislative hot topics, effective council meetings, effective 
strategic planning with your youth, Advocacy, Improving meeting 
effectiveness, and developing a Mayor's youth advisory council.  
 
Plan now to bring your youth to the 2005 AIC Youth Leadership
Conference.  You will be glad you did!  

AIC will be providing transportation for the youth to the 
conference in Idaho Falls.  City officials who wish "take it
easy" and travel with the youth to the conference on June 14th
may also do so, subject to the availability of space.
