[Vision2020] Ren Fair...

Okay, so I went to the Ren Fair for the first time.........and I had
flashbacks of my childhood. Suddenly, I was ten years old again, with long
hair, bell bottoms and that damned leather headband with the lacing that
made X's across it..........ahhhhhhhhhhh! The pain! The pain! Make it stop!
The Celtic music was good, though. And I didn't hear a single note of
"Stairway to Heaven" or Joan Baez, The Beatles or Dylan, thank God. It's
hard to run away lugging 30 pounds of photo gear, so I would have stumbled
to a tree and started pounding my head against it to relieve the pain of bad
music. Then people would have looked at me funny...well maybe not, they
probably would have thought I was tripping on bad shrooms or something.
It was a beautiful Saturday and people were happy and having fun, so I did
enjoy myself, despite the irreversible damage done to me in my youth.
I was going to give Joan a hard time, until I found out she was out sick. I
walked by the Radio Free Moscow food booth, read the menu and about died
laughing. Spinich pie? Yup, spinich pie! s - p - i - n - i - c - h ? All
them thar edge ee cated peeple wurkin, an thay kant spel spinach?
