[Vision2020] Both faces of Tom Delay

I can see the differences just fine. Tom Delay would
not welcome any outside intrusions on his family's
decision to pull the plug for his scenario and yet
he's willing to run interference in the Schiavo case.
In short, he is a hypocrite. Nothing new here, he's
proven his hypocrisy many times over.

The general concensus for these types of serious
injuries are:

1) If you are unable to breath on your own or feed
yourself, with no hope of ever regaining motor
functions, but your brain function is normal and you
can communicate (a la Christopher Reeve or Million
Dollar Baby), then keep 'em hooked up to the life
support equipment until they die of some other cause
besides suffocation or starvation.

2) No brain function, no hope of recovery, and you
can't breath without a respirator or feed yourself,
then pull the plug on the respirator. Death by
suffocation occurs in 5-7 minutes which seems
acceptable to the vast majority, even including kooks
like Tom Delay.

3) No brain function, you can breath on your own, no
hope of recovery, no signs of improvement after 15
years on a feeding tube. This is the tricky one that
results in endless national debate (until she dies),
lots of court cases, lots of demonization of one side
by the other, political posturing, etc.
