Greetings to those who care about Calvinism,

As I was reading my response to Mike Hall, I noticed a error my description of the Eucharist. My bias towards Zwingli's solution, that the bread and wine are symbolic of the body and blood, was showing.

Calvin and Luther tried to have the real body but eat just the wafer. While they rejected transubstantiation, which, from everything we know about ancient religions, is most likely the original meaning of Jesus' words, they still wanted Christians to believe that Christ was somehow present in the Eucharist. So, instead of an outright miracle, they substituted yet another Christian mystery.

So in my response to Hall, I should delete the word "symbolically."

Also I forgot to remind him that I would like to know what his opinion is about husbands voting for their wives, having Old Testamtnet laws be the laws of the land, and the claim that racial harmony in the Old South.
