Carl,

The "me" vs "I" thing is easy.  How would your
sentence read without Joan in the picture?  It's the
same as when she is included.

"Be listening to I" --> "Be listening to Joan and I".

And a note to Dale...Face!  All those tax dollars
funneled into my public education learned me this.
