[Vision2020] Wal-Mart set to open first 'green' store

Thank you for sharing this interesting bit of information, Mark. As
Moscow scrambles to put together a large-scale retail development
ordinance that reflects our community values, it is important that we
learn what the possibilities are. Ideas like these you bring to Vision
2020 can help us to "think outside the box" and quantify what it means
to be a good corporate neighbor. With the onslaught of new big box
ordinances across the country, more competition for less space, and an
increasingly outspoken populace, some large scale retail interests are
paying attention to public sentiment. Although the task of assembling
such an ordinance for Moscow will likely fall to the Planning and Zoning
Commission, input from citizens is a critical part of that process. I
invite 2020 visionaries to continue this discussion and help Moscow's
elected officials to make as well-informed decisions as possible.
