Hello all
The West Park Elementary School fundraising cookbook, 'Recipes to Roar
About' is now available for purchase. You can buy them at Bookpeople or
TJ's Books and Treasures for $12 each.
The cookbook is in a small 3-ring binder, has 260 GREAT recipes including
appetizers, main dishes, desserts and miscellaneous recipes for things
like edible rocks, playdough and dog biscuits.
We also collected quotes from the 1st-3rd grade classes about things like
'who is the best cook in your house?' "what is the best thing to eat when
you are sick? and 'how do you make your favorite food?' (complete with
their unique phonetical spelling)
Here are some example quotes that I think are particularly cute:
-To make ketchup, you make ketch out of tomatoes. Amy, 1st grade
-How is your favorite food made? It grows on a tree in Wyoming. It is a
canalop. It is frout and it is very good. I like it more than watermelon,
Cheyenne, 3rd grade
-My grandma's food is the best because my mom burns it. Theo, 3rd grade
-I would rather eat out because I get those toys in my meal. James, 3rd
grade
If you are unable to make it to Bookpeople or TJ's,
you can also contact one of the following:

Park Parent Action Team.
