[Vision2020] Black and Tan Your Hide - Doug's at it again

Rose,

I think this non-plagiarized and revised version of
SSAIW is going to be very watered down. I wouldn't
expect to see similar incendiary passages that were in
the previous edition.

Doug will hammer home his point that race-based
slavery is wrong and yet futilely he'll argue that
Southern slaves for the most part were treated very
well. He will continue that Christians who followed
the Bible's clear instructions regarding owning and
operating slaves could have done so without sin.
Unmentioned will be the fate of the sinning Christian
slave owners...so write your own ending (damned to
hell versus having their sins whitewashed by Jesus).
For Doug's finale, he'll claim that the Northern
abolitionists didn't need to slaughter all those fine
Christian Southerners who were just following the Word
of the God and that slavery would have ended
peacefully on its own. Not much anyone can do about
that one since the Civil War (or whatever Doug wants
to call it) was fought about 150 years ago. It's not
like anyone of us can just fire up the time travel
machine and go back and try to convince anyone on
either side to "Give Peace a Chance" especially since
that phrase never seems to influence anyone making the
decision about going to war.

Yep, I can't wait for this one to hit the internet
blogs and V2020.
