Pat,

Why were interracial marriages banned?  Don't you
think that the battle cry of "it's immoral" was the
reason for this injustice?

You tell me what the difference is.  Interracial
couples were denied equal rights because such unions
were against the law.  Even a few years ago, Bob Jones
University still had a ban on interracial dating. 
Doesn't this seem immature?  Shouldn't a consenting
adult be allowed to date another consenting adult
without being punished for it?

And yet presently, same sex couples are denied equal
rights because such unions are against the law.

You throw around the phrase "morality" as some sort of
catch all.  How moral is it to be cruel to people who
are pursuing their life, liberty, and happiness and
who are not hurting anyone else in the process?
