I didn't go to the link, but this has to be the
Reverend Donald Wildmon who goes after little things
like this and turns them into big things.

I recall a number of years ago that he made a stink
about a Bloom County character named Edith Dreck. 
Wildmon's charge was that "Dreck" was a yiddish word
for excrement.  Bloom County Author Berk Breathed, who
is almost as witty as Carl Westberg Jr., claimed that
he didn't know yiddish and that Wildmon was "full of
dreck".
