Ah! Yes, I remember it well! One of the interesting things was outside
lights shining up not down. It has to do with the atmospheric pressure and
at the temp the pressure is not so good. An interesting event.

Ah, I have memories (fond?) of Moscow in the winter of '69.  That would be
1969.  A full week of sub-zero temperatures, topped off, or bottomed off,
with a low of 52 below zero.  With no wind.  Now, that was nippy.
