I do believe that you have just tried to change the subject.

You can make the argument that Democrats don't equal the Democratic Party.
It would be splitting hairs but gives you some assistance.

That the system is in disrepair is in debate right now is interesting, since
there was agreement on both sides in 2002/2003 the system was in need of
repair.  I favor either fixing it or abolishing it because the system in
place won't be there when I retire.
