I meant to send this to the group, but I erroneously replied to Mr. Hansen alone.

My apologies.

Tom Hansen

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box.

Classic Straw Man, Mr. Hansen. I never said any of those things. I believe my wife to be my equal.

Gall Dang it, Mr. Smith. You may be on to something.

I blame it all on that radical left wing liberal poop about women being equals. Can you believe that??

Indoors they should all be barefoot and pregnant. Outdoors they belong two steps to the rear and one step to the left.

Heard the latest redneck joke? What is the best redneck foreplay phrase? "Get into the pick-up, bitch."

That reminds me. When is the next Doug Wilson Smoke Out. I gotta get me some Redman Chew.

Until then . . .

Hee Haw,

Tom Hansen

Sounds a bit like you are trying to take on the role of husband for this woman, Ms. Opyr. How do you know what this lady needs? What do you propose for a healthy marriage? A life of selfishness, laziness, wickedness, and disrespect? Nancy Wilson simply put in a book what the Bible, the sacred book of her faith (and mine), says a Christian wife should do. I'd think you would be ok with that, since you are not anti-Christian.

Ron Smith/Billie the Goat/one of many Christian husbands who cherishes his wife and would never poke her in the eye with a sharp stick.

Dear Visionaries:

Now here's an interesting thing. If you run a search on Google of the terms "Tai Chi" and "Moscow, Idaho," you pull up a link to a book by Nancy Wilson on appropriate behavior for Christian wives. The book is called The Fruit of Her Hands.

Here's a snippet from the first reader's review:

Its about time!

Rating: 5 out of 5

Review: Its about time someone stood up and told Christian women what being married to a Christian man ought to look like. It is a life of service, hard work, piety, and submission.

Gee, Christian marriage sounds about as much fun as indentured servitude. This woman doesn't need Tai Chi, and she certainly doesn't need Nancy Wilson. What she needs is Tae Kwon Do. Or kick-boxing. Or a sledgehammer and a good attorney.

Instead of service, hard work, piety and submission, could I just cut to the chase and get a poke in the eye with a sharp stick?

Joan Opyr/Auntie Establishment

PS: The sad thing is, I really do want to find someone who teaches Tai Chi here in Moscow, but now I'm afraid to look.
