This is an example of why it's so easy to be on the radio with Joan.
(Shameless self-promotion again: Sundays 5-7 pm KRFP FM 92.5) All I have
to do is show up, sit there and mutter something now and then, and leave the
creative stuff up to her. Her straight man. Really.

>As Rose and Saundra have kindly informed us, Doug has recently updated his
>definition of Intolerista. (See:
>However, as Doug has a tendency to be both longwinded and shortsighted -- a
>deadly combination -- I've decided to help the members of this list, the
>folks at Merriam-Webster, and the Lewiston Morning Tribune's Jim Fisher by
>providing a clear and official definition of the word. To wit:
>
>Intolerista (in'tol ur ee' stah), n., pl. -s. Currently meant to be
>offensive. 1. A person having views contrary to those of Moscow Pastor
>Douglas J. Wilson. 2. Person or persons who are not Moscow Pastor Douglas
>J. Wilson, e.g., all the rest of us. Usage: Pastor Wilson considers
>intolerista derogatory and offensive, as those to whom the word is applied
>generally prefer terms like liberal, progressive, conservative,
>Libertarian, Evangelical, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, Jew, dog-owner,
>Republican, Democrat, Independent, Mariners' fan, free thinker and/or human
>being. Note bene: As the meaning of intolerista seems to be fluid,
>entirely dependent upon the current level of Pastor Wilson's bile, see also
>neologism.
