Wayne - give them a chance. Today I gave a very long interview to The Daily
News. I think tomorrow's paper will have a very nice write up. There will
also be something in Friday's paper and a nice big article in the weekend's
paper. The reporter seems to be doing her homework and doing it quite well.
She is speaking with all the entities she can.

I have had contact with Bruce Pitman who is willing to do anything he can to
help the cause. If any of you have any ideas he will listen. Drop him an
email. Maybe Paul (campus PD) could let us know what Dr. Pitman has decided?

We have been promised PSA's from Ida Vend Broadcasting who owns a few radio
stations. We have asked but not sure if PSA's are coming out of the
University(s) radio station. Anyone listening?

Phil gave an interview with the Lewiston Tribune tonight. I think their
article will have an interesting spin. Very geared towards the college
student.

Latah Eagle? I know you are listening. How bout' it?

Chamber? Paul? I know you are listening. Anything you can help with?

Jen at the sheriff's office? Sweet Jen. Anything you can add? Maybe keep us
up to date?

Unfortunately, The Argonaut and The Evergreen won't be printing till the
kids get back. The Argonaut will run something in January's issue.

Channel 3 news. We will do our interview on the afternoon of the 20th.

Congressman Trail. What would it take to change or amend the law for a
higher set bail on a person that passes HIV positive body fluid to another
person without telling that person they are infected?

North Central Health Department. What can I say. Thank you for spending my
tax dollar WISELY. Thank you for your caring staff.

State Health Department. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS OFFER!!!

Grittman. WE LOVE YOU JENNIFER!

To all the Doctors, Nurses, HIV certified blood takers, friends, and all
those wonderful people who care. THANK YOU!!!!!

CJ's staff. You guys are truly one of a kind. Phil and I appreciate you more
than words.

To Detective Will and Bill Thompson I know how hard you are working on this.

To all those downtown establishments that are afraid to help. To those bars
that won't put up any information for fear you will lose business. Guess
what? We don't need ya!

So see Wayne. We have a strong community. People really do care.

City Council? Mayor Comstock? Vision 20/20 listeners would love to hear from
you! It would be nice to have one spokesperson.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Maybe I should run for mayor?

I agree, Wayne.
Our so-called community leaders (the ones that hurriedly created an
ordinance against topless car washes) should be blanketing the media,
including radio stations (i.e. KHTR, KRFP), newspapers, television (channel
13), etc. etc. keeping the community informed and ensuring potential victims
access to medical/health resources while protecting their anonymity.

What about it, City Council?

I was approached by a young lady last night asking me what I would do or say
to a friend who has been with an infected HIV person several times without
proper protection who now has a steady boyfriend she plans to marry and is
continuing sex without protection.

My answer was simple. "Tell her to get tested."

She then informed me that her friend and other friends of hers has slept
with the infected person, again without any kind of protection and they, all
the girls, are sickened with fear. They will not get tested because they are
afraid of the results.

My response: Yet, they are afraid everyday that they do not get tested so
why not get it over with.

The moral of this story is how many other girls out there are not getting
tested and living an everyday hell of fear?

If anyone reading this knows of a person like this please pass along the
Health Departments phone number: 882-7506. You do not have to give your name
The counselors are very well trained, professionals. They are compassionate
and caring. What do you have to lose?
