I've found vinegar to make a very good thistlecide. I fill a spray
bottle full of plain ol' white vinegar, go out and spritz them up
close and personal (being careful to avoid spritzing what grass I have
if at all possible) on a nice hot sunny morning and by night fall
there is nothing but a shriviled up thistle. It's best to get them
while they are small, but several applications over the day and the
next will take care of larger ones.
