I agree 100%, Sunil.

 

It seems that the war in Iraq has evolved into a civil war between the
Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds.  We are stuck right in the middle of it and
still without any exit strategy.

 

Bush's strategy is to simply "Stay the course."  Send more troops.  Fill
more body bags.  And still nobody has answered the question, "Why?"

 

How deep is the hole, papa?  1,800 bodies and climbing.

 

And the beat goes on.

Pat,

I'm not surprised that people in Kirkuk don't want strict Muslims in charge;
they're Sunnis, not Shiites.  But the version of the constitution that is
being pushed by the Shiites will give the mullahs far more control than they
ever had under Hussein.  They're going to look more like Iran than anything
else.  

I don't think that was our goal when we invaded, no matter what the pretext.
