So . . . what exactly is your complaint?  It seems to me the usage is
absolutely correct:  Cindy Sheehan lost a beloved child in the war, thus she
*is* a gold star mother.  It actually seems pretty disrespectful to me to
try to take issue with the *correct* labeling of her as a gold star mother
-- even if you disagree with her politics, I can't imagine that you want to
in any way want to trivialize or minimize her tragic loss.  I'm sure that's
not your intention, so I just wanted to point out that's how it might sound
to some who don't know otherwise.

BTW, Visionaries, I also want to provide a heads-up that nothing posted on
V2020 is safe from thieves.  Christ Church's Dale Courtney continues to
pilfer from posts here for his Hate-Log, even when he's been made absolutely
aware that some of us don't want our material stolen and posted for his own
twisted purposes on his Hate-Log.  Just another crystal clear example of his
complete lack of respect for the wishes of those who don't share his views .
